The $5 Billion Porn Bailout - What About Me?

Well, Larry Flynt is up to something again. He says we're all too depressed to have sex, which affects many small-businesses and free-market capitalism. Why not bail out and nationalize the adult industry? I seriously hope that this is just an incredibly funny, well-timed publicity stunt.

You know, now that I think about it, I should go to Washington to ask for a bailout, too. I might as well. I'm one of those people who is not part of the problem, but who is being dragged down by others' poor decisions and greed. I, for one, would like to get a break, too. I'm getting tired of paying for other's greed and poor decision-making abilities (not that I'm perfect - I most certainly am not; however, I also pay for my own mistakes).

Maybe we, who are not part of the problem, could all get together and call ourselves The Stimulus Group and ask for money to bail us out of the muck into which all those others have dragged us. That would leave them in the mud they created. At the same time, it would lift us above their mess like a lotus in the mud. Hmmmmm, the more I think about it, the better I like the idea!!! Leave 'em to wrestle with each other in the mud. As for those who were legitimately victimized, I'd merrily welcome them into our fold. No more power-hungry, greedy people getting the bail-out. Come and join the Stimulus Group!!! Worse come to worse, if Flynt's Porn Group is eventually taken seriously, our Stimulus Group could join with them, up the amount to $8-10 billion, and we'd all be satisfied.

  1. Hey Patrice,
I'm with you. "Who is going to bail out the average American citizen???"
I have friends that are/have lost their homes recently....my son is probably going to move home from the east coast because the job he had had died...he's been trying to make it working 2 part time jobs. Ugh.
Anyhow....these porn people are idiots and laughing all the way to the bank as they exploit women but no one figures that out.....and so Washington may help them too unless people like you and me SCREAM at our Congressmen/women to NOT do it.
I'm watching the situation...and when it's time I will do what I can about it on my end.

Back to you......it is sad that people do cruel things to one another. I guess it's "the nature of the beast" sometimes. Mean is one thing...wicked and cruel is another.
I do feel that when we don't forgive though.....it empowers these people and hurts us. Now I never said you had to hang out with them or like them.....but we can forgive them and move on with our own lives.
Remember no matter what....."What goes around comes around."
It is a principal that is SO true.

Sorry I am so "wordy" tonight...HA!
Thanks for your sentiments though, I appreciated it.
